Responsibilities The Product Link Technician is responsible service, diagnose and repair telematics devices, including but not limited to Caterpillar Product Link at customer jobsites. Inspect components removed from machines to determine their reusability. Apply troubleshooting techniques and determine proper repair procedures on all assigned work orders. Service, diagnose and repair telematics devices at customer's jobsite. Disassemble, inspect and determine parts needed. Reassemble to factory specifications. Interpret and utilize information from operating, maintenance and service manuals/bulletins. Prepare parts requisitions, parts returns, accurate and complete service reports, and other necessary reports and forms. Stay current with telematics technology. Perform various other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience with Caterpillar or comparable competitive equipment repair. Experience with Caterpillar Product Link telematics devices or comparable equipment preferred. Must have good trouble shooting skills. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to repair Caterpillar and competitive components and machines. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
