We integrate strategic communications support to proactively engage stakeholders. We are also at the forefront of Technology Business Management (TBM) and have worked with agencies to realize billions of dollars of IT cost transparency so federal IT leaders can make more informed business decisions. In this role within the Advisory Services Practice (ASP), we are looking for an employee to support our federal customers at agencies such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and General Services Administration (GSA).
As the Senior Consultant for Organization Development (OD), you will work collaboratively as part of a team supporting Federal clients to conduct one or more projects ranging from human capital management, workforce planning, strategy, strategic communications, business process improvement, organizational assessment, culture building, leadership development, and change management. You will be responsible for delivering recommendations and solutions to complex problems, manage tasks within a team, own deliverables, and demonstrate and expertise in core consulting skills. OD Senior Consultants develop systematic approaches to help clients conceptualize and navigate large scale transformational efforts and strategic initiatives successfully. During the process, the senior consultant will build organization readiness by creating strategies and plans that maximize results and minimize risks to ultimately help clients achieve higher utilization of business capabilities in their organization and create more inclusive workplaces. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with executives and decision makers at all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver direct support and coaching to all levels of client leadership to help them through planning, transitions, and operations.
  • Infuse OD best practices and research to enhance client's understanding of the challenge and options they face.
  • Communicate industry standard frameworks in alignment with client context, to include how they are applied with specific examples of tools and deliverables.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person workshops in a collaborative and inclusive manner
  • Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility work through knowledge building, providing guidance to relevant parties, and integrating best practices into existing processes/procedures.
  • Support and own customer-facing and REI-internal projects and high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage tasks and projects that support larger workstreams.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, model to junior employees.
  • Contribute to business development and other growth initiatives.
  • Work in close collaboration with REI program/project managers to ensure alignment across clients, to understand and manage their expectations while simultaneously working with engagement team, to proactively mitigate risks, and collaborate on new ideas to meet any evolving client needs.
  • Possess the ability to work in teams with guidance and support from other team members to solve problems.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, quality, and professionalism.
  • Possess exceptional oral, presentation, and written communication skills.

    Required Experience/Skills
    • 4-6 years of relevant experience .
    • Familiarity and experience with Organization Development (OD) best practices (required).
      Preferred Experience/Skills
      • A master's degree in a relevant field.
      • Previous experience at a consulting firm.
      • Previous experience working at or with a federal or state government agency.
      • Familiarity and experience with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility best practices.
      • Familiarity of Organizational Change Management (OCM) best practices.
      • Familiarity of Project Management tools and best practices.
      • Familiarity of agile best practices.
        Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Clearance: Eligible to obtain a clearance. Location/Remote: This position can be done remotely. The essential functions of this position require that the employee performing this role work on-site at REI's Sterling location.
