Job Summary Responsible for providing general material and supply support to assigned programs representing all aspects of the material and supply organization which includes providing an interface between the various internal customers as well as providing project leadership for the team. Job Responsibilities ? Responsible for liaison functions between manufacturing and the material and supply organization providing overall material availability health outlook. ? Develops solutions to a variety of complex material strategies and material availability problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the material and supply organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon both material & supply and manufacturing execution. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. ? Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion. ? Reviews a high volume and/or variety of materials, supplies and services. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers/components to achieve program goals. Follows up on all awards until completion and delivery of order. ? Networks with senior internal and some external personnel in own area of expertise. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. ? Utilizes ERP system and processes to manage the outcome for assigned commodity types. ? Acts as the primary liaison representing the material and supply organization and the processes and workings within it by interfacing with it or other technical personnel to advise them how the processes function within it. ? Interfaces between the program team, manufacturing and procurement as well as other M&S functions as necessary to aid in the development of planning and execution strategies in support of business unit goals ? Regularly performs material availability reviews and analyzes Advanced Action BOMs in support of Program Reviews, MRAT, DP-E, and Collective Material Analysis. Adjusting material master parameters (Make/Buy, Mat Type, Proc Type, Mat & PTS status, Bulk Indicator, Lead-time, Safety Time, Safety Stock, Dynamic Safety Stock, and Costing (if applicable). ? Load and monitor Independent demand (VSF) to support Advanced Action BOM changes and ECO implementation to mitigate potential shortages and schedule delays. ? Drives supplier selection process with team including: Identifying Rockwell approved suppliers capable of program needs, schedules early design reviews with identified suppliers to ensure DFM and DTC targets, new supplier set ups in Ariba as required, coordinates quote reviews, schedules supplier selection meetings as required Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience US Citizenship required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.
