experienced Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team developing
next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic
warfare systems for the Department of Defense. Join this passionate

work with the team using agile development methodologies to support
the development environment for a common software baseline
delivered to a large-scale DOD customer. As someone who thinks
outside the box, you'll enjoy designing and implementing solutions
to interesting engineering problems involving both traditional
System Administration as well as DevOps. You will help find ways to
make automation do the heavy lifting of DevSecOps.Your experience
with the Linux operating system, bash shell, and scripting in
languages such as Python will be indispensable assetsAs someone who
thinks outside the box, you'll enjoy administrating and
implementing solutions to interesting engineering problems. Using
DevSecOps methodologies, you'll identify constraints and employ
creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and
create efficiencies.More About the RoleWe are looking for a Sr.
Systems Administrator to join a technically diverse team that
develops and supports infrastructure for software-based signal
processing applications. The successful candidate will provide
hands on support to implement baseline changes, maintain DevSecOps
pipelines to ensure timely delivery of software on customer
schedules, troubleshoot supported software applications and
equipment, create and maintain required documentation, install and
setup servers and workstations, and will interface with internal
teams as well as external customer support organizations. Excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a diverse team are
critical. Must have good organizational skills and be able to work
on multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment.
This position is located in Sterling Virginia. Duties and
Responsibilities:Must be able to set up new DevSecOps / CI CD /
Development Environments for both Classified and Unclassified
networks.Experience with Classified Networks up to and including
TS/SCI.Experience standing up new enterprise development
environments.Maintaining classified and unclassified distributed
DevSecOps environments to ensure software deliveryMaintaining
operating system baselines utilizing configuration management tools
and ensuring compliance with corporate and government security
standardsEnsuring secure configuration of systems with PuppetLinux
scripting (bash, python, perl, etc)Configuring Linux workstations
and serversDiagnosing hardware failures, repairing failed
equipmentInterfacing with external customers on issues, diagnosing
and fixing customer problemsDeploying operating system level
patches to factory systemsFamiliarity with security requirements
for classified environmentsAble to setup and move workstations and
other equipmentOther system administrative and documentation
duties, as neededYou'll Bring These QualificationsUS Citizenship is
required along with active TS/SCI security clearanceBachelors or
equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or related
fieldsA current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification -
Security+ Certification5+ years of related experience, including
the ability to troubleshoot operational systems supported by this
Program OR possessesSolid understanding of complex software design
conceptsScripting languages, for example Python, BASH, or
similar.Familiarity with Linux and real time operating
systems.Familiarity of IP networking concepts.Strong analytical
Skills (ability to analyze and work through complicated
issues).Excellent communication skills.Effective teamwork
skills.These Qualifications Would Be Nice to HaveExperience with
AWS (including any AWS Certifications)Background in web
technologies is highly desired.Experience with database programming
and cloud technologies.Experience with Python and scripting.Working
knowledge of signal processing fundamentalWorking knowledge of
MATLAB is helpfulWillingness to learn and apply the best technology
for a given application.Programming methods and languages, for
example C, C++, Java System administration experience, to include
UNIX, Linux, and Windows platformsITIL v4 CertificationCompany
