history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Tactical Space
Systems Division, seeks a qualified Sr. Principal Systems Engineer
to support a space-to-ground communications network. This position
is located in Dulles, VA and Colorado Springs, CO.Systems
Engineering responsibilities include:Performing technical planning
and analyses at all levels of total system product including:
concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation,
maintenance, and disposal.The Systems Engineer ensures the logical
and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into
total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and
cost constraints.The role will include functional analysis,
timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation
and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements
into hardware and software specifications.The role may require
assisting in new business activities such as conceptual design and
analysis for proposals and funded studies and may include authoring
sections for both.Successful candidates must be able to interface
with clients, as well as interact regularly with internal
engineering associates and program management.#NOVASPACEBasic
Qualifications:B.S. in STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, Math
or related area and 9 years of experience; M.S. in STEM or
relatedarea and 7 years of experience; or a PhD in STEM or related
area and 4 years of related experienceSystems engineering
experience in one of more areas, such as requirements, Model Based
Systems Engineering (MBSE), verification & validation, interface
management, test planning, readiness reviews, etc.Must be a U.S.
Citizenship with an active/current TS clearancePreferred
Qualifications:Space industry experience Space domain/space
vehicles, subsystems, and componentsRadiofrequency (RF) and/or
digital communications experienceSpace-ground communications
experienceExperience working in an Agile program team using
methodologies such as Kanban or ScrumMBSE requirements and
architecture management (using DOORS and Cameo Systems
Modeler)Salary Range: $125,800 USD $188,600 USDEmployees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
