In this role, you will lead technical resources and deliver on system modernization projects for a federal agency thereby helping the Government fulfill its mission.

Responsibilities:
Utilize open source platforms, tools, databases, front-end frameworks, and middleware to modernize enterprise applications by re-developing legacy systemsLead technical resources to design and implement systems projects using Agile or iterative software development methodologiesAnalyze problems such as user requirements, input data and form, output data and form, available computer configuration, processing and turnaround time requirementsAct as a technical liaison between business and technical staff, helping translate user and business needs into an understandable architecture for developersPerform technology and tools assessment to devise an IT solution to meet business functional needsMaintain comprehensive knowledge in the development of client/server and internet applications that utilize a n-tier architecture and graphical user interfaceProvide deployment support by deploying code, static files, and/or databases by request to the staging environment and syncing static files and databases among environments

Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in open source web developmentCurrently play a leadership role on one or more technical teams, evaluating technologies or design patterns and overseeing their implementation from concept to working productProficiency in building websites using JS frameworks such as React or Angular (React Preferred) -Proficiency in building applications using Java, Spring boot, JSON, and JavaScriptProficiency in working with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQLProficiency in working with test automation tools such as Cucumber and SeleniumProficiency in working with automated deployment tools such as JenkinsExperience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworksExperience working with version control systems such as Git/GithubReady to embrace a fast-paced work environment with deadlines and new challengesStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesSolid understanding of CI/CD pipelineBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experienceEducation: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, economics, statistics, or mathematicsClearance: No sponsership assistance will be provided for this role.
