Northrop Grumman is hiring a Precision Electromechanical Assembler
3 to support our manufacturing and production in Tactical Space
Systems Division located in Sterling,
VA.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision
electromechanical products.
- Performs tasks such as using precision measuring instruments to
ensure conformance to specified tolerance.
- Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision
assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
- May assemble and modify prototype precision units for
engineering personnel. May monitor and verify quality in accordance
with statistical process or other control procedures.Basic
Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen and a High School Diploma or Equivalent
with a Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Must be able to obtain J-STD-001 Solder Certification & Solder
in accordance those specified workmanship standards
- Manufacturing Experience
- Perform the assembly of the products using standard, repetitive
electromechanical techniques Use of basic handheld tools with good
dexterity
- Perform accurate data/record keeping Follow shop safety
practices and procedures during assembly operations
- Ability to complete in house ESD and FOD certifications &
perform tasks in accordance with the company electro-static
discharge (ESD) procedures
- Read and interpret designs, work instructions, and understand
verbal instructions related to assigned work Ability to read,
interpret, understand, apply, and enforce engineering, technical,
and specifications, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure
qualityPreferred Qualifications:
- NASA 8739 certification training.
- EGSE Space or Aviation experience
- NASA/Military specification Solder training
- Familiar with MS Office software
- Creo View or other 3D modeling experience
- Experience working with program requirements, equipment
performance specs, wire connection lists, schematics, wire gauge
sizing, connector selection and related cabling and harnessing
documentation.
- Skilled in digitally enter and retrieve information for
configuration and traceability purposes Salary Range: $50,000 USD -
$83,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
