joining our team to support technical activities for GDIT's
employee base in the Northern Virginia area.
In this role, a typical day will include:
+ Provide client technology support services, including initial
deployment of new desktops, laptops, peripherals and software, and
provide general support services for all technical areas.
+ Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems
utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and
+ Act as onsite operator for other technical and organizational
teams to provide hands/eyes support as well as standard
+ Reports directly to supervisor for IT related program
+ Work both independently and as part of a team to identify and
+ Provide technical support and training to end-users.
+ Assists L I & L II Technicians on team
+ Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as
+ Participate in special projects as required.
+ Performs other related work as required.
+ Associate's degree in a related technical discipline plus 3+
years of directly related experience supporting end-user computing
and customer support
+ In lieu of degree, a combination of related work experience,
professional training and/or education.
+ Must have experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation,
operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft
+ Must have experience with desktop/laptop and application
+ Solid understanding of basic networking principles is
+ Strong written and oral communication, and excellent customer
server skills are required.
+ Must be able to work both independently and with a team
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
+ Server 2012/2016 experience a plus
+ Unconstrained, creative thinker; problem solver,
technologically savvy, results driven, and proactive individual who
can work independently or as part of a team.
+ Additional technical certifications or training is a strong
+ Support for handheld devices (iOS, Android, Windows) a
+ Operational knowledge of the following is a plus: Active
Directory and Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center
