Job Description:

Basic Function Part-time instructors needed to teach biology lecture/labs at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Duties and Responsibilities Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during Summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend. Compensation is per credit hour and based upon rank. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment. Minimum Qualifications Master---s degree in Biology or Master---s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Biology. Preferred Qualifications College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Adept knowledge of instructional technologies. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required Operation of a State Vehicle No Open Date 10/16/2017 Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants The indicated salary is per credit hour.
