Job Description

Description

SAIC's National Security Group (NSG) is seeking an Intermediate Director's Action Group (DAG) Action Officer to fill a position on the LANDMARK AOS program. LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. To qualify, you must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

The candidate will support the customer's Action Officer functions at the Directorate-level, providing expert advice, assistance, and assessments for organizational and business improvement efforts.

Key functions include:

* Directing/overseeing the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks

* Manage the action tracking system and ensure the customer's group is responsive to daily action items

* Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines

* Prepare reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions

Develop the Weekly Activity Report (WAR)

* Consolidate office-level input

* Draft WAR executive summary and coordinate strategic messaging

Coordinate and maintain Corporate Board meeting schedule

* Participate and capture action items and monitor the closure of action items

Conduct strategic planning and provide logistical support for meetings

Draft correspondence as needed by leadership

Perform reviews and provide technical edit support to all official documents

Other duties as assigned pertaining to corporate/strategic communication

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

* Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

* Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business related discipline from an accredited institution

* Minimum 5 years within the customer organization; or 10 years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD)

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications

* Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer offices

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks and managing longer-term tasks as well as short-term obligations

* Must communicate effectively with senior management, as well as employees at all levels

* Must have strong interpersonal skills

* Must have strong writing/reporting and verbal communication skills

* Must be flexible in a constantly changing business landscape

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of IC and/or DoD spacecraft systems

* Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management

* Demonstrated experience briefing senior leaders

* Agile or DevOps certification (+)
