Description - • Performs frequent quality assurance checks to
ensure that non-conforming product is identified and remedied as
quickly as possible. - • Measures and visually inspects products
for surface and dimensional defects in order to ensure conformance
to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. - •
Utilizes process sheets to set up new jobs and makes necessary
adjustments to avoid excessive start-up scrap. - • Sets up,
operates, processes acceptable quality first piece parts and tend
injection molding machines to mold plastic parts and products. - •
Checks process of machines to ensure all mechanical variables are
stable and troubleshoot the process and the press to identify the
root cause of any anomalies related. - • Installs molds into
machines or presses according to MXL production schedule work order
specifications. - Reads work instructions for any special equipment
needed. - • Safely change molds according to the production
schedule and clean the press during every C/O. - • Verifies machine
process and records temperatures, pressures, and press-cycle times
keeping record of process sheets. - • Understands part
specifications to develop a robust process in order to efficiently
run with reduced scrap and higher throughput. - • Preserves then
removes molds from machines after production runs are finished and
places in noted location. - • Works with Production Technicians
(Operators) to ensure product is being evaluated effectively. - •
Cleans inner surfaces of molds following standard procedures. - •
Obtains and moves specified molds to workstations, manually, with
lift truck or using hoists, sets and secures mold to machines,
using various hand tools. - • With the assistance of the
maintenance department, performs preventive maintenance work on
injection machines, molds and auxiliary equipment. - • Must be able
to start up, manipulate processing parameters as necessary and shut
down each press as necessary. - • Periodically assists with break
relief to avoid shutting presses down. Qualifications Skills
