This role offers a unique opportunity to manage diverse and complex family law cases in Virginia. Our firm values a collaborative work environment, professional growth, and work-life balance. Responsibilities: As a Family Law Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include: 1. Representing clients in all areas of family law proceedings, including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation rights, property settlements, alimony, and marital agreements. 2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and agreements. 3. Conducting legal research to stay updated on the latest family law statutes, rules, and case laws in Virginia. 4. Providing legal advice and strategies to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected. 5. Preparing and presenting cases in court, mediations, depositions, and arbitration hearings. 6. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction. 7. Participating in business development initiatives to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the Virginia State Bar. 3. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in family law practice. 4. Proficient in legal research tools and software. 5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. 6. Strong negotiation skills and courtroom demeanor. 7. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet strict deadlines. 8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. 9. Proven track record of providing superior client service. 10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
