Senior Systems Administrator (Windows) with Security Clearance

fastest growing companies in the industry. Cloud Lake Technology
has a fantastic opportunity for a Security Engineer to join a
dynamic team in Sterling, VA to help further the mission of a
federal law enforcement program. This five-person team works in a
space dedicated to this project and maintains all aspects of the IT
equipment there. This is the only position on the team dedicated to
Information Security. Each team member works in multiple roles
during the workweek including Systems Administrator tasks such as
building servers or performing upgrades to the special built
project workstations. Responsibilities:
--- Responsible for providing IT Information Security expertise to
a Federal Law Enforcement program.
--- Shared on-call response to security issues and general system
--- Build and deploy servers and troubleshoot any issues with the
servers, the network or any other cybersecurity risks.
--- Window Server Update Services (WSUS) administration.
--- System Log review and audit log management.
--- Integration of systems with Big Fix.
--- Analysis and remediation of findings from Splunk.
--- Leveraging Digital Guardian for data loss prevention.
--- WSUS update administration.
--- Implement and integrate vulnerability tools enterprise wide.
This is including but not limited to IBM Bigfix, Splunk, Mcafee,
--- Application of STIGS and remediating the results
--- Analysis and remediation of any overall findings. Minimum
--- An Active DoD Secret Clearance, ability to obtain Top
--- Ability to pass a Federal Government background investigation
to obtain a DEA Clearance.
--- Experience must include the development and or modification of
complex information technology or automated communication
--- Six (6) years' experience in assisting the development and
monitoring of policies and procedures related to IT security best
--- Four (4) years' security experience, help desk, design, system
security administration, database security administration or
similar security experience.
--- Must be familiar with the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) publications that define computer security and
cyber incident handling.
--- Able to detect, prevent and respond to denial or service and
--- Familiar with configuration management policies and
--- Develop, implement, and maintain a computer security policy
that meets the federal government requirements.
--- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
--- Experience with scripting for post remediation fixes.
--- BS in IT field or related experience.
--- One of the following certifications is preferred: Project
Management Professional (PMP), Certified Authorization Professional
(CAP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information System Security
Processional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or
CompTIA Network+. Responsibilities:
Sustain infrastructure in support of US Army MWN locations using
AtHoc, and/or possibly MIR3/OnSolve, as well as Enhanced (E911)
systems comprised of Motorola VESTA, MicroAutomation Call Center
Millennium and spok pcpsap software.
Serve as server administrator for a cloud based effort using a
VMWare offering and standard isolated networks with Windows based
Install, configure and manage customers' server software and
systems via hardware replacement, backups, patching, and
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) in the lab
for private and public cloud environments to provide to local
technicians at production sites.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the private and public
cloud environments and implement cloud services support, cloud
operations, and security for all private cloud operations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the Original Equipment
Manufacturers (OEM) software and hardware and implement solutions
in the lab prior to advising the end user.
Configure, maintain and perform tasks utilizing Assured Compliance
Assessment Solution (ACAS) integrated software for vulnerability
scanning and remediation.
Evaluate products and upgrades.
Create Server builds and compliancy with SCAP and ACAS to include
POAM and remediation.
Execute tasks provided using best practices in cloud computing
methodologies and standards.
Assist in the discovery process by capturing legacy requirements
that must be transitioned to the new environments.
Develop and implement functionality based on provided guidance and
requirements for private and public cloud services.
Establish and comply with organizational standards and
Document and post development activities to include Operations and
Management (O&M) support.
Sustain compliance with all program Change Management (CM)
processes and procedures as elements evolve from development to
test to production.
Collect and provide data/metrics that support all required Service
Level Agreements (SLA), Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and
Memorandums of Agreement (MOA).
Produce reports on demand as needed in support of mission
Utilize metrics to generate queries that will provide weekly,
monthly, quarterly and yearly customer reports. Minimum
Minimum of seven (7) years Windows server Operations & Maintenance
(O&M) sustainment for a large organization or Public Safety
Answering Point (PSAP).
Current Security+ certification as well as an additional current
technical certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions
Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE),
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Network+, etc.
Demonstrated administration skills on various operating systems and
VMWare server configuration and management.
Demonstrated experience in securing IT resources per government
regulations, to include working change requests or new development
through DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation
Process (DIACAP C&A or Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Assessment and Automation (A&A) processes.
Familiarity with E9-1-1 systems, Mass Warning Systems, IPAWS, and
other related technologies.
Demonstrated documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
fostering a collaborative environment.
Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call 24/7 to travel under
Education: Minimum of high school diploma.
Must have Active Secret Clearance.
Must have Active CompTIA Security+ or comparable certifications.
Three (3) years' experience with remote management of
Three (3) years' experience with OS and software patching.
Experience working with Business Development to win new work.
Experience with MWN system(s) using AtHoc, MIR3, Blackboard,
Experience with e911 systems (VESTA, MicroAutomation, Spok).
Experience with Agile methodology.
Experience managing and training a team of System Administrators
PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Experience with eMass and ATO approval process.
