Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) combines technology-enabled
services and mission software capabilities in the areas of cyber,
logistics, security operations, and decision analytics to support
our defense and intel customers’ mission to defend against evolving
threats around the world. Your greatest work is ahead! The National
Security Sector (NSS) seeks Journeyman-level Technical Writers to
provide on-site contract support to USCYBERCOM Operations
directorate (J3), Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF), and Joint
Task Force-Ares (JTF-ARES). Timely and comprehensive operational
planning support to USCYBERCOM J3, CNMF, and JTF-ARES will inform
employment of available Cyberspace capabilities, development of
future Cyberspace capabilities, and drive the Joint Planning and
Targeting processes. This opportunity is in anticipation of a
potential future contract award. What you’ll be doing: Provide
timely and accurate support in manner best suited to driving
operational outcomes within USCYBERCOM as a technical writer,
supporting production and delivery of verbal and written
communications. Assist USCYBERCOM J3, CNMF, and JTF-ARES
organizational leadership with identified priorities. Tasks
include, but are not limited to, briefing development, talking
point generation, information paper production, coordination for
distinguished visitor engagements, and strategic communications.
Support preparation for key engagements and distill large amounts
of information into clear and concise senior leader communications
to transform senior leader vision to refined intent and then to
defined guidance for operational elements. Support the
establishment of business rhythms, processes and procedures to
facilitate organizational needs to respond to stakeholders’
inquiries. Collect and organize texts, graphics, charts, and/or
diagrams for presentation in high quality reports, briefs,
testimony, presentations, or web publishing. Create infographics,
process diagrams, and visual storyboards to complement written
products. Develop high quality written reports and documents with
minimal guidance that is properly formatted following government
determined formats and focused on ease of use for both defined and
wide-ranging audiences. Conduct structured interviews with cyber
SMEs to gather technical details, and translate highly technical
content into clear, user-focused documentation for diverse
audiences. Revise documents to remain current to the project's
progress and analyze existing and potential content and suggest
enhancements to content and its presentation to ensure message is
accurately conveyed in complex and nuanced manner. What does Leidos
need from me? Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance
with Polygraph is required for consideration. Five plus years’
experience within the field of communications, crafting written and
verbal communications that translate operational intent into
actionable guidance within fields of Cyber Operations, Electronic
Warfare, Information Technology, Information Operations, or
Intelligence Operations. BA/BS degree within fields of Mass
Communications, Humanities (English, Creative Writing), Business
Administration, or National Security studies. Additional years of
experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Demonstrate high
level of proficiency with storytelling within Cyber environment and
working familiarity with military operations including phases of
planning, approval, and execution. Posses familiarity with
applicable Joint Publications and experience adhering to DoD
accessibility and classification marking standards. Posses
working-level knowledge of the range of Cyber Operations to
underpin written and verbal communications. Ability to support
timely, accurate, relevant analytical production, to include
documents, summaries, issue papers, talking points, and briefings.
Strong ability to quickly and effectively gather requirements,
perform research, compile information, prioritize and collate,
draft, edit, and produce high-quality documentation that satisfies
customer needs with minimal follow-on work needed. Demonstrated
proficiency working in a fast-paced collaborative environment,
ability to proactively multi-task and meet short deadlines, and
possess excellent writing and grammatical skills. Strong
interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills,
including the ability to clearly convey complex and technical data
to non-technical consumers. Able to work across Department of
Defense and Intelligence Community agencies to support
organizational goals. Favorable if you have: MA/MS degree within
STEM field, National Security Studies, or field of study directly
supporting delivery of written and verbal communications Deep
familiarity with USCYBERCOM organizational structure and mission.
Prior experience capturing tactics, techniques, and procedures
(TTPs) and converting them into standard operating procedures
(SOPs) that document workflows for cyber operations tools, systems,
or mission planning software. Prior experience supporting Joint
operations across multiple warfighting domains. COSS At Leidos, we

Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00 The Leidos pay range for this job
level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of
compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending
an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the
job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as
well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable
bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
