Opportunity: Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity
available for a Network Designer supporting an Intelligence
Community customer’s campus-area (CAN) and local-area (LAN)
networks across multiple security domains. This position
encompasses the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex,
global enterprise networks. The Senior Network Designer will act as
a key technical leader, driving the evolution of our network
infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. This includes not
only maintaining network stability and performance but also
proactively engineering solutions to address new customer
requirements and emerging technologies. Responsibilities include
troubleshooting network incidents, collaborating with junior
engineers, and remaining abreast of the latest advancements in
networking. This role demands a strong foundation in networking
principles, extensive experience with routing protocols (including
BGP), hands-on expertise with cloud networking platforms, and a
proven ability to translate business needs into robust network
solutions. Responsibilities: Oversee the CAN/LAN engineering team
providing advanced technical support for complex CAN/LAN network
issues while aligning with the strategic overall network design.
Work with architects and engineers to design, implement, and
maintain CAN/LAN network solutions tailored to organizational
needs, while working closely with other network teams to ensure
seamless operations including the WAN Team, Firewall Team, and
Network Management Team. Design, configure, and optimize CAN/LAN
network architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and
performance. Provide Tier 3 technical support for CAN/LAN
infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuration, and
resolution of complex network issues. Respond to escalated service
tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal
disruption to operations and transparent communication with
customers and stakeholders. Analyze and resolve network performance
issues such as latency, bandwidth bottlenecks, and packet loss.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components
along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve
reliability and performance Supports hardware infrastructure site
surveys, planning, design, and installation of equipment and
cabling to support projects and standard service requests. Provide
transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery
timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity
during transition including migration of users from existing
service platforms to new service offerings and transition of
services into operations Work independently and as part of
integrated teams and apply advanced concepts and processes to daily
activities. Maintain documentation for network configurations,
procedures, and incidents to ensure compliance with best practices
and industry standards. Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to
junior network engineers and technicians. Stay updated on emerging
network technologies, trends, and security threats to continuously
improve network infrastructure. Provide afterhours call in support
for CAN/LAN services. Support deployable networks for multiple
mission partners to include travel to CONUS sites for deployments,
installations, and maintenance. Qualifications: TS/SCI with Poly
required Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field. Equivalent work
experience may be considered Minimum 10 years’ experience of
related work experience Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills to collaborate across multiple teams and departments. DoD
8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II required Strong expertise in routing
and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLAN, Spanning Tree
Protocol, etc.). Advanced knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP,
and related technologies. In-depth knowledge of network hardware
(routers, switches). Certifications such as JNCIP, CCNP, CCIE, or

influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic
location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract
wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and
