a high school student graduating in June 2026? We have an exciting,
paid internship opportunity for you! Join our dynamic Agile
Solution Factory (ASF) team as an i ntern starting in July 2026 and
ending in September 2026 for a 3-month program with the potential
to transition to a full-time position. You’ll work alongside
experienced software delivery personnel and mentors who will teach
you how software is designed, built, and maintained through our ASF
delivery model — all while learning valuable teamwork and
problem-solving skills. Gain hands-on experience in software
development and maintenance within an ASF product team, delivering
releasable software in short sprint cycles for mission-critical
border enforcement and homeland security management capabilities.
Collaborate closely with software developers, engineers,
stakeholders, and end users to ensure the successful delivery of
secure software solutions for mission critical applications. This
is a chance to explore a career in technology and learn what it’s
like to work in software development — no college degree or prior
IT work experience required. Responsibilities: Learn and become
certified in our ASF delivery execution model Learn how to utilize
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and AI prompt engineering to
support processes across our ASF delivery model Learn how software
is developed, tested and delivered through our ASF under the
guidance of experienced personnel Work as part of an ASF product
team, supporting teammates and helping with tasks, including
leveraging AI to help develop user stories from requirements, test
cases, and creating user documentation or training materials
Participate in real project activities such as release planning
meetings, sprint reviews, and software product demonstrations to
see how teams iteratively build and improve software products
together Explore new technologies and automation tools are used in
the software development and delivery process — including AI Help
improve existing software by testing features, identifying bugs,
and suggesting ideas for improvement Learn about software
development, data, cybersecurity and systems architecture, and how
they support the delivery of mission-critical systems Develop
professional and communication skills, learning how to share ideas,
give feedback, and collaborate effectively in a technical
environment Qualifications: Required Must be a U.S. citizen and 18
years of age or older by July 3, 2026 , due to federal security
requirements Must be able to pass a background investigation,
including checks for felony convictions (3 years), recent illegal
drug use (1 year), and misconduct such as theft or fraud (1 year)
to obtain a government clearance Currently enrolled in high school
(senior year) and on track to graduate by June 2026 Strong interest
in technology, problem solving, and software development — no prior
job experience in the IT industry is required, but curiosity and
motivation to learn are essential. Good communication and teamwork
skills — able to effectively ask questions, share ideas and
collaborate with others both verbally and in writing Familiarity
with computers and logical thinking, whether from coursework (e.g.,
computer science, math, or robotics) or self-learning (e.g., online
tutorials, coding clubs, or personal projects) Willingness to learn
programming fundamentals and tools used in modern software
development Desired Exposure to leveraging AI technologies,
including AI chat tools (like ChatGPT) and AI prompt engineering to
return desired results Exposure to any programming language (such
as Python, JavaScript, or Java) or low code development platforms
(such as Microsoft PowerApps) Exposure to using any database tools,
reporting platforms (such as Microsoft Power BI), or collaboration
tools (such as Microsoft SharePoint) Participation in STEM clubs,
coding competitions, or personal coding projects Interest in
emerging technologies and how IT and software can help solve

influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic
location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract
wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and
