Job Description:

Lockheed Martin, a leader in global aerospace, defense, security, and advanced technologies, is seeking a skilled Modernization Software Engineer to join our IT & Cybersecurity team. This role focuses on upgrading and refining our software systems and applications, ensuring they meet the cutting-edge needs of national and global security. As a part of our team, you will work in an inclusive, ethical environment that values teamwork and innovative thinking, contributing to the development, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems. Analyze and evaluate existing software applications and systems. Develop strategies for system improvements and modernization. Implement modern software solutions, ensuring compatibility and performance standards. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies. Stay updated with the latest technologies and cybersecurity threats. Document and maintain software functionality. Conduct testing and validation of new software applications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting when required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar. Strong understanding of software development and engineering principles. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certifications in cloud computing platforms (AWS Certified, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desired. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) are beneficial.
