Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking an After Hours System Administrator to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This role is full-time on-site at the Washington Navy Yard.Note: The first four to six months in this position will require working a shift starting at 11:00 am for on-the-job training. After confirmation of role competence, support will transition to After Hours support.This position is responsible for providing Tier-2 support to the United Kingdom and Backup services. The ideal candidate must possess a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork. Responsibilities include managing Backup Exec software, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, supporting all UK services, and assisting in process and procedure creation for IT operations backup services. The role involves planning, implementing, and completing multiple projects, managing configuration, maintenance, deployment of Backup Servers, and communicating progress and requirements to team members and leadership.   • High School Diploma and four (4) years of work experience
  • A DoD 8570 specified IAT II certificationOR a SECNAV qualifying degree with the requirement to obtain this certification within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a common Access Card (CAC), badge access, and a network account in good standing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and other IT systems
  • Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, and DISA STIGs
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with partners and government officialsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Experience with Backup Exec Software
    • Experience with Blackberry Software Management
    • Web Server Troubleshooting skills
