This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position,
customer approval, completion of a favorable background
investigation, and successful TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
crossover.
We are seeking a Scrum Master who is self-motivated and passionate
about leading software development teams. The candidate will be a
servant leader for the scrum team and ensure that the team succeeds
in meeting their goals and objectives each increment. The candidate
will demonstrate adept agile leadership, organizational, technical,
and communication skills. Proven experience leading software
development teams is required. Experience working on complex
system-of-systems software development programs for the US
Government is a plus.
What YOU will do:
Facilitate the team's progress toward team goals: Continuously
challenges the old norms of development to improve performance in
the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
Help the team focus on iteration goals in the context of current
Program Increment (PI) Objectives. Actively addresses blocking
issues to keep flow moving.
Make and influence decisions which impact cost, schedule, and
technical performance at a team level.
Decompose features into well-defined user stories and performs
software development tasks such as analysis, design,
implementation, integration, and testing.
Coordinate agile team meetings and support the product owner.
Support the team by participating in peer reviews, removing
blockers, assisting in design decisions, and clarifying story
acceptance criteria.
This position is a mixture of agile team leader and individual
contributor. At times, the scrum master should expect to take and
work their own user stories.
Education & experience:
typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and
minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in
a related and 3 years of prior relevant experience, or in absence
of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required
TS/SCI with polygraph required Day 1
Skills you must have:
Experience in software technical lead roles.
Agile software development experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with Linux development environments.
Usage of ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo)

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The
salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of
all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending
an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and
associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience,
location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not

holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or
long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of
the position and whether or not it is covered by a
collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual
programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of
factors including, but not limited to, individual performance,
business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides
in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits
will apply.
