Job Description:
These 3 positions will serve as hands-on maintenance and service
support technicians on perimeter security equipment at sensitive
locations throughout The Washington DC Metro area and other
locations around the country.Service and Maintenance: The FST's
primary role is to perform preventative maintenance requirements on
hydraulic and electric, PLC driven active vehicle barriers,
bollards and gates and respond to service requests on equipment as
necessary. This position will require direct interaction with
clients, a high level of customer service and care is required at
all times. The FST will be responsible for interpreting electrical
schematics, appropriate drawings and maintenance documentation in
order to complete the task at hand in an efficient, safe and timely
manner. This role will require working outdoors on hydraulic and
electrical systems, use of chemicals and sealants, heavy lifting,
operating instrumentation, and maintaining/repairing mechanical
subsystems.Installation Support: From time to time, the FST will
also be responsible for the installation support of new systems.
This will require an understanding of typical construction
practices, interaction with site supervisors and project
management, adhering to construction safety procedures, and the
ability to interpret site plans and electrical schematics. This
role will also require working outdoors with chemicals and sealants
and operating equipment such as drills, saws, concrete saws
etc.Required Traits:Excellent customer service and communication
skills.Basic computer skills.Clean driving record.Clean background
with ability to obtain DoD CAC and appropriate government security
clearances. Prior military experience a plus.Must be able to lift
up to 50 pounds without assistance.Must be able to sit and/or stand
for long periods of time, as well as be able to frequently kneel,
bend, squat, sit and twist.Ability to work after hours (including
weekends and holidays) as needed.Ability to travel outside assigned
territory may be necessary.Industrial automation experience on PLC
controlled equipment, experience on access control equipment, or
PLC driven electro-mechanical and hydraulic experience a plus.There
are currently 3 levels of FST positions available. When applying

with your personal skill sets.Field Service Technician 15 years of
related hydraulic/electromechanical experience such as with
elevators, escalators and lifts.Must be able to work autonomously
and be a self-starter.Must be able to pass a National Background
check. (NACI)Must be eligible to obtain a National Security
clearance.Must be able to travel for a day or two each month.Field
Service Technician 22-3 years of related
hydraulic/electromechanical experience such as with elevators,
escalators and lifts.Must be able to pass a National Background
check. (NACI)Must be eligible to obtain a National Security
clearance.Must be able to travel for a day or two each month.Field
Service Technician 3Entry Level PositionRelated Trade school or
past military experience preferred.Must be able to pass a National
Background check. (NACI)Must be eligible to obtain a National
