Email Subject Line: System Administrator (IMC00380) The systems administrator will serve as a part of a team providing IT support services to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and act as the team's subject matter expert for system administration for engineering and cyber transport. The team will provide back-end support and intelligence production/dissemination support services to include network services, infrastructure engineering and installation, datacenter operations, system administration, storage and enterprise backup services, database management, and enterprise application server software administration for NASIC's enterprise. Responsibilities: The candidate duties will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
    • Provide Long Haul Communication (LHC) for all NASIC networks and mission partners including the five primary networks (NIPRNet, Cornerstone-Secret, StoneGhost, Cornerstone-Top Secret, and NORMALLAW) as well as all mission networks and data circuits.
    • Provide Patch and Test maintenance for all NASIC Patch and Test Facility circuits including physical encryption equipment and virtual networks to include software-defined networks.
    • Provide network security administration for all NASIC networks that have security appliances deployed including firewalls, VPNs, TACLANE's, routers, and ACLs.
    • Secure all network devices following DoD guidance, IC guidance, and DISA STIGs.
    • Provide network design, maintenance, and support in coordination with requests from the Crypto Net Service Owner.
    • Provide network support during the core work hours and on-call support for non-core hours when required.
    • Work with the network team lead and the network service owner to schedule all network changes.
    • Provide Level II and III CFP escalation support.
    • Install and maintain encryption equipment, network switching, routing, and network security equipment throughout the NASIC enterprise to include outlying buildings.
    • Install and configure NSA Type-1 encryption device and other networking devices.
    • Remove unused and/or abandoned network equipment.
    • Label all equipment and cabling installations in accordance with NASIC guidance.
    • Maintain architectural network diagrams and circuit databases and document all installations/ changes in accordance with NASIC guidance.
    • Perform function as an Authorized Funding Official (AFO).
    • Maintain equipment supply inventory requirements and project future requirements.
    • Monitor critical NASIC IT infrastructure (e.g., networks, servers, storage, power, and cooling) and manage the monitoring systems software and hardware.
    • Provide monitoring support during the core work hours.
    • Perform COMSEC duties as requested.
    • Maintain Communications Equipment Rooms to ensure all standards are followed.
    • Perform hardware configurations/installations in accordance with applicable standards.
    • Install, configure, and manage virtual networks in the data center.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and identify cabling issues/breaks.
    • Re-terminate fiber optics and cat5/cat6 cabling.
    • Repair and maintain network equipment. Basic Required Qualifications and Skills: Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when making application to IMC for this position.       • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
      • Minimum of 5 years' experience in system administration
      • At start date, must possess current IAT Level II certification - one or more of the following current certifications in ACTIVE status are acceptable:
        • Security + CE
        • GICSP
        • CND
        • CCNA Security
        • GSEC
        • SSCP
        • CySA+
        • At start date, must possess current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent.
        • Experience with Microsoft products to include Visio, SharePoint, and Access
        • Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.

          • DoD networking and systems administration experience.
