customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to provide
unparalleled support for the Information Systems Division (TC)
within the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- All activities related to system administration.
- Assigning personnel to various projects, directs their
activities, and evaluates their work.
- Ensuring long-term requirements of systems operations and
administration are included in the overall information systems
planning of the organization.
- Installing, maintaining, configuring, and integrating computer
- Implementing operating system enhancements that will improve
the reliability and performance of the system.
- Maintaining data files and control procedures for a complex
system of networked computers or for a single group of
microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe.
- System security and data integrity.
- Assigning passwords and monitoring use of resources, backs up
files as required and responding to management requests for
- Providing technical guidance to lesser-experienced systems
- Performing other duties as assigned, which may require specific
- Contributing to the Systems Administration body of knowledge.
Required Qualifications :
- 4 to 6 years of related experience
- BS/BA degree OR 4 years of additional experience in lieu of

- Stationary work at an office desk setting 50% of time
- Traversing to accomplish tasks by moving from one work site to
another or between different floors in a building
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Ability to perceive and assess employee productivity For all
