Simulation High Level Architecture (HLA/DIS)This software
engineering position is within the Computer Systems / Navigation
Team in the Simulation Solutions & Services (SSS) business area.
SSS develops and builds simulators and training systems for both
military and commercial customers. Devices range in complexity from
desktop training all the way up to high fidelity weapon system
trainers and full-flight training systems including full visual,
motion, and simulator interoperability (HLA/DIS).Job
Responsibilities:Design, code, integrate, regression test, test and
document C/C++ software with a focus on High Level Architecture
(HLA)Perform software debugging using appropriate techniques and
toolsTroubleshoot HLA issues at customer's site location.Assist
with bids and design analysisAssist with coordination and planning
of interoperability eventsPerforms in cross-functional team efforts
in integration, verification and validation for products and
sub-systemsProvides engineering estimates for own work and others
on tasks similar to those previously performedContribute to and/or
lead software engineering requirements capture, analysis and
creation for well-defined software designsIndividual job duties may
varyCome be part of a team building a multi-million dollar flight
simulator. Our team is looking for self-motivated, confident and
passionate engineers to help us create advanced aircraft simulation
and training devices and products for both military and commercial
customers.Basic QualificationsThis position requires a Bachelor's
degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant
experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and
3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years
of relevant experience is required. A strong working knowledge of
Distributed Simulation (High Level Architecture (HLA) and/or
Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS))Demonstrated ability to
Design, Develop, and Integrate in C/C++A working knowledge of
C/C++Self-starter, able to multi-task and take advantage of
opportunities and events to achieve results that meet or exceed
expectations.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
with employees at all levels in the organization.Ability to work in
a team environment and communicate effectively with peers and
managementMust be a U.S. CitizenMust have or be capable of
obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Windows and Linux Operating SystemsHave experience with network
topology and configurationHave an interest in or experience with
the Hardware/Software interface to Input/Output devices such as
commercial off the shelf industrial automation devicesCan
demonstrate the ability to perform autonomously on tasks with
moderate to high complexityHave experience in leading software
teamsHave scripting knowledge or experienceBe Experienced in
Continuous Integration / Automated testingHave experience with cost
account management or earned value metricsBe proactiveThis position
