Type:OnsiteThis position is a hybrid role that serves as an HR
business partner and Talent Specialist. Implements and executes
human resources strategies. Partners with assigned client groups to
ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives
and proactively resolves HR and business issues and provides
solutions through organizational effectiveness and employee life
cycle. Responsible for and/or serves as an HR liaison for all HR
aspects, such as: talent management and retention, succession
planning, employee engagement, employee relations, compensation,
benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, and/or training,
coaching and development.This is a hybrid position requiring
occasional onsite work. Candidate must be commutable to either our
Annapolis Junction, MD or Dulles, VA office.Responsibilities
- Comp/Workday Actions: Pay increases/promotions, retentions
(individuals and groups), separations, market equity, repayments,
etc.
- ER Situations: Leadership coaching, investigations, mediation,
ethics/security support, consultations.
- Performance Development: PIPs, succession planning,
nominations, staffing/redeployment facilitation.
- Trusted Advisor and Relationship Builder: Be a credible and
trusted advisor who can influence leaders, and effectively develop
and leverage relationships across HR and within the business
unit.
- Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact
on work area.
- Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of
processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of work
area.
- Works to influence parties within and outside of the job
function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures,
and practices.
- Develop and deliver the Talent Management strategy for
AST.
- Use emerging best practices, candidate data, web/social media
analytics, to develop programs rooted in new market trends.
- Create, socialize, and implement plans to widen our influence
as an attractive employer across multiple channels.
- Partner with corporate communications and Talent Acquisition to
ensure brand alignment
- Oversee recruitment marketing and advertising strategies across
AST and offer solutions for improvement and efficiencies
- Ensure proper communication to all stakeholders across the
division at various touchpoints
- Have experience working with a geographically dispersed
workforceProfessional Experience / Qualifications / Education /
Clearance
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced
Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the
organization coupled with excellent customer service
orientation.
- Have excellent organizational skills and be able to adapt and
flex to deliver multiple priorities in a fast-moving
environment
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and
stakeholders
- Be a great problem-solver and can identify and implement
effective solutions.
- Ability to build strong, effective, and collaborative working
relationships and to educate and influence leadership at all levels
of the organization
- Knowledge of the Talent Acquisition function
- Knowledge in HR domain areas of Talent Management, Change
Management, Employee Engagement and Effectiveness.
- Ability to travel (minimally)
