MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to provide top-tier pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use and distribution of medications to our diverse patient population. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering patient-first health care, ranging from primary care to advanced surgeries. Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments. Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information. Strong knowledge of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, and medical brands. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In-depth understanding of regulatory laws and rules governing the industry. Ability to work with a diverse team and meet tight deadlines. Medical Insurance Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of practice. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or equivalent is preferred.
