MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Vehicle Operator / MS Transport EMT Driver to join our dynamic Emergency Management Services team. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting medical staff and patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring the highest level of care and efficiency. This position requires a deep commitment to patient care, excellent driving skills, and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure scenarios. Operate emergency vehicles safely during both emergency and non-emergency situations. Maintain vehicle readiness, including hygiene, safety checks, and equipment functionality. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient stability during transport. Complete detailed reports and documentation for all transports according to company policies. Partake in continuous training programs to enhance emergency response techniques. Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting EMS operations. Proficiency in driving and operating emergency vehicles. Strong ability to communicate and listen under stressful conditions. Physical endurance and agility, with the ability to lift and move patients safely. Acute awareness and ability to react quickly and efficiently in emergencies. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification. Clean driving record. CPR certification preferred.
