MedStar Health, a leader in patient-focused healthcare in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with radiologists to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will assist in diagnosing a diverse range of medical conditions, making a significant impact on patient care. This position requires a skilled professional who is patient-oriented and committed to delivering advanced healthcare services. Operate and manage MRI equipment and ensure the safety mechanisms in the MRI suite are functional and adequate. Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety during scans. Collaborate with radiologists to determine suitable imaging techniques and improve image quality. Maintain patient records and imaging data in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Conduct quality control checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues. Stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and participate in continuing education. Mentor and train junior MRI technologists and support staff. Expert knowledge of MRI procedures and safety protocols. Strong patient management skills to ensure patient comfort and cooperation. Proficient in using imaging software and equipment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additional MRI certification by ARRT is highly preferred.
