MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our dedicated team in the DMV area. This role is vital in providing high-quality imaging services that assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning for our patients. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to create detailed images of the body used by physicians to diagnose and treat diseases. This position requires precision and a deep understanding of human anatomy and magnetic resonance technology, along with a compassionate approach to patient care. Operate MRI scanners and conduct imaging procedures following physicians' orders. Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality. Maintain patient safety and comfort during scans, addressing any concerns. Adhere to strict safety procedures to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation. Document all procedures and maintain accuracy in patient records. Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve treatment and imaging protocols. Proficiency in operating MRI imaging equipment Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology Excellent technical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Solid communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain patient privacy and follow healthcare regulations Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Registered MRI Technologist (RT)(MR) certification from ARRT
