Job Description Job Description Job Title: SPED Teacher Assistant – Cross Categorical (1:1 Support) Location: Leesburg, VA 20178 Duration: 17 Weeks (Contract) Schedule: 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM Pay: $24/hour Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Teacher Assistant to provide 1:1 classroom support to a student with intellectual disabilities in a school setting. The role focuses on academic assistance, behavior support, and promoting independence. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one classroom support Assist with academic tasks and participation Support IEP and behavior plan implementation Reinforce positive behavior strategies Support social skills and peer interaction Assist with classroom transitions and routines Collaborate with teachers and support staff Maintain documentation and communicate progress Requirements 1–2 years of experience supporting students with intellectual or developmental disabilities School or special education setting experience preferred Knowledge of behavior support strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills High School Diploma or GED required For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
