Roles & Responsibilities Operate and monitor telemetry and ECG systems, placing electrodes accurately and ensuring quality tracings Interpret cardiac rhythms and identify abnormalities, communicating urgent changes to physicians and the care team Obtain, analyze, document, and post rhythm strips per protocol or physician order Provide rapid clinical judgment and intervention for potentially life-threatening cardiac events Monitor and document pulse oximetry and other vital monitoring parameters, reporting baseline changes promptly Monitor temporary pacemakers and recognize failures to sense, pace, or capture Administer IV cardiac and antiarrhythmic medications according to policy and physician orders Participate in continuing education and unit skill validations to maintain clinical competency Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) Active, unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Basic Dysrhythmia course certificate required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Minimum one year of full-time experience within the past three years caring for adult patients in an acute care telemetry setting with cardiac monitoring Eligible to work on a Federal Government contract and willing to complete a federal clearance process (typically 2-3 months) prior to start Education Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited school of nursing Knowledge & Skills Strong telemetry and ECG rhythm interpretation skills Proficiency with telemetry monitoring systems and ECG electrode placement Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening dysrhythmias Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and conduction systems Experience with post-cardiac surgical patient care, including chest tube management and post-catheterization care Skilled in documentation, communication with interdisciplinary teams, and following telemetry protocols and SOPs Competence administering IV cardiac and antiarrhythmic medications per policy Benefits Flexible per diem scheduling so you can pick the nights that fit your life Opportunity to work in a respected federal healthcare environment with strong standards of care Collaborative interdisciplinary team that supports learning and growth Ongoing training, unit skill validations, and clinical competency support to keep your skills sharp Licensure assistance and support navigating credentialing for federal contract work Professional development opportunities and encouragement to pursue advanced certifications A supportive clinical environment that values patient-centered care and your clinical judgment Work-life friendly scheduling with predictable monthly shift commitment Apply Now Ready to start your next adventure as a Registered Nurse - Telemetry?
