About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health
to find a qualified Infusion RN in Washington, Washington DC,
20010! Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License:
Must have a DC license in hand Certifications: BLS and Chemotherapy
certification required Must-Have: Experience with administering
chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments Candidate must be
familiar with intravesical bladder instillations for bladder
cancer. Description: Urology/GYN Oncology infusion RN for day
shifts. Experience with administering chemotherapy and
immunotherapy treatment for Urology and GYN Oncology patients is
required. Preferred candidate should hold a
Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card. Skills in an infusion
center are preferred. Charting will be done using the Oncology
MedConnect system (Cerner). Daily patient census ranges from 40 to
70 patients. The unit has 25 rooms dedicated to patient care. The
emphasis is on patient and family education and support.
Understanding and managing side effects of treatment is essential.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate knowledge in handling
cytotoxic spills. Necessary skills include care and management of
ports and IV access. Orientation modules must be completed
promptly. Compliance with all clinical requirements is mandatory. 5
