About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour
Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Must have 2-3 years of
pediatric post-anesthesia care and pre-testing experience. License:
Candidates must hold an active nursing license or have a pending
nursing license application that has been with the Board of Nursing
for at least 3-4 weeks, indicating the license should be issued
soon. Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Care of ventilated
patients - Conscious sedation - ICP monitoring - Experience in
Level I trauma centers - Pediatric PACU experience - Phase I PACU
experience - Phase II recovery experience - Pre- and
post-procedural sedation administration and monitoring - Minimum of
2 years of pediatric PACU experience Description: Work four 10-hour
shifts from Monday to Friday with varying days off. There are no
weekends or holidays. Variable shift start times are available
between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. Shifts may be scheduled as follows: 6
a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 9 a.m.
to 7:30 p.m., 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., or 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. No
on-call duty is required. Candidates with background or license
issues will not be considered. Modules are not billable and must be
completed within the first week of the assignment. Missed shifts
due to call outs must be made up by the end of the contract, and
extra days will be added for this purpose. Compliance is due before
the start of the assignment. The facility has a non-smoking policy,
with no smoking areas. There is zero tolerance for violations of
this policy. References are strongly preferred and must be
