Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient recovery services, is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist dedicated to the responsive care of patients across both facility-based and home-based settings. This role requires expertise in cardiopulmonary diagnostics and respiratory treatment, contributing towards Encompass Health's mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare in the communities we serve. Assess patient health status to determine respiratory care requirements. Consult with physicians to develop and implement integrated patient care plans. Perform and analyze cardiopulmonary diagnostics testing. Manage ventilator and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Educational support to patients and their families on lung health and chronic condition management. Respond to emergency resuscitation calls and other urgent calls for care. Expert knowledge of respiratory care protocols and procedures Proficient in the use of ventilators and other respiratory equipment Ability to operate sophisticated medical software and diagnostic tools Strong communication skills for explaining complex issues to patients and families Empathetic patient management with a focus on holistic well-being Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential preferred Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
