Clinton, MD 20735 Start Date: 11/17/2025 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
07:00 AM – 07:30 PM (4x12s) Float: Yes – within Med-Surg/Telemetry
units or lower acuity areas Charting System: Cerner (Required) Job
Description / Summary The Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse is
responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality
care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical
conditions, including stroke, renal failure, diabetes, pneumonia,
and post-surgical recovery. The RN will monitor cardiac rhythms,
administer medications, manage complex IV therapies, and coordinate
care within an interdisciplinary team while adhering to MedStar
Health standards and policies. Requirements Experience: Minimum 2
years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience Licensure: Active
Compact or Maryland RN License (Required at submission)
Certifications: BLS and NIHSS (Required); ACLS (Preferred)
Charting: Proficiency in Cerner EMR (Required) Additional: Charge
Nurse experience required; must be able to work every other weekend
and holidays as scheduled Flu Vaccine: Required – No exemptions
Unit Details Unit Name: 2E Med Surg/Telemetry Patient Ratios: 1:6
Daily Census: 35 Common Diagnoses: Stroke/TIA, Pneumonia, DM, ESRD,
PE/DVT, Renal Failure Special Equipment: Telemetry monitors, IV
pumps, feeding tubes, Wound Vac, bladder scanners Support Services:
IV Team, PT/OT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy, Social Work,
