Multiple shifts available Overview: Sentara is currently hiring a
Patient Care Technician for the Blue Ridge/Northern Virginia
Regional Resource Pool! This is a Flexi position with rotating
shift hours. Minimum Qualifications: *High School Graduate or
Equivalent *Basic Life Support Certification, BLS *One of the
following programs is acceptable for education: Sentara Care
Partner Certification Program, successful completion of the
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical
Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT),
completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services to
include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, or current student
enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one
semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within
last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant. One year of health
care experience is preferred. *Within 75 miles of two of the three
hospitals: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge,
VA Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, or
Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA.
*Available to work PRN status, a minimum of 48 hours per month
Northern Virginia & Blue Ridge Hospitals:Martha Jefferson in
Charlottesville, VA, Rockingham Memorial in Harrisonburg, VA,
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA. This is
a self-scheduling regional resource pool position with assignments
for two hospitals within the Northern Virginia and Blue Ridge
Region. Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring an NCP/PCT to
work in our Resource Pool covering two hospitals: Blue Ridge
region: Rockingham Memorial in Harrisonburg or Martha Jefferson in
Charlottesville plus Sentara Northern Virginia in Woodbridge.
Offers Premium Differential Pay, Flexible Self Scheduling: (work up
to Full-time hours if desired). Only required to provide the
availability to work no more than two weeks in advance. Patient
Care Technicians/Nursing Care Partners are unlicensed staff members
who are accountable to and work under the direct supervision of a
professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care.
Provide patient care, support the admissions, and discharge
process, and comply with patient safety practices under the
direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients' physical,
mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the
nurse. Requires a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per pay month
Requires 1, 12-hour off-shift and 1, 12-hour weekend shift per
month. Requires minimum RN experience of 18 months. Requires nurses
to work in all units for which they are qualified and a minimum of
