Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum experience required in an emergency department with similar size and volume License: Valid state nursing license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS Must-Have: - Charge experience required - Triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy skills required - Previous charge and preceptor experience Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department, working night shifts. The role requires a nurse with experience in a busy emergency department setting, encountering a high volume of patients. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar emergency department is essential. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, initiating treatment plans, and performing basic life support procedures. Additionally, the candidate must be proficient in IV starts and phlebotomy. All employees must receive the flu vaccine with no exemptions allowed. Call duties will include every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary. The nurse may come into contact with patients who have COVID-19. Scrubs are not provided; specific color requirements will be specified. Candidate must provide two supervisor references. No more than seven days of requests for time off will be accepted during the contract duration. It is preferred that candidates have travel experience and have worked within the last eight months in a high-traffic emergency department. Modules and orientation will be required as part of the role, with details provided prior to the start date.
