As part of our commitment to being at the forefront of advanced medical technology, we have established the first and only Robotic Training Epicenter for general surgery in Northern Virginia. Our Epicenter is the second in Virginia and one of only 40 Epicenters in the world. We offer surgical services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis in a wide range of specialties, including: breast, colorectal, gastrointestinal, general, urogynecologic and gynecologic, orthopedic, prostate, spinal, urologic, and heart and vascular surgeries.
HCA StaRN Nurse Residency Program
StaRN stands for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses. Our one year long program is specific to the unit you are hired into. This is a full-time, paid and benefited career choice that is designed to enhance your nursing skillsets and knowledge while simultaneously promoting your professional growth and development.
22 Week Orientation:

• 10 weeks in classroom setting to include a combination of self-study, hands-on skills/simulations, and BLS/ACLS, EKG (Electrocardiogram), and TeamStepps certifications
• 12 weeks of preceptorship with a designated and trained preceptor **Two year commitment required to unit and facility

  • Required: VA State Licensure prior to the start date
