Job Description:
AVENU--- is looking for a dynamic and passionate Scrum
Master/Technical Project Manager with experience in Banking /
Payment Services to support the Avenu platform (a Bank-as-a-Service
platform). This is an exciting opportunity to participate in
building and implementing a new core banking
platform.Responsibilities:Lead Scrum ceremonies for your team(s)
and participate in cross-team coordination of projects with
dependenciesExperience in facilitating project meetings,
identifying risks/dependencies/impediments, and handling multiple
prioritiesGuides team in task estimating practices and facilitates
team estimatesProvides assistance with planning and obtaining
commitments to complete tasks within established schedule and
budget constraintsOversee the tracking and performance of all
project activitiesInteracts with vendors, clients and other
stakeholders to ensure that requirements are properly understood
and implementedWork collaboratively with development teams,
technical leads, product management, security, compliance and
executive management to determine technical direction and priority
of the teamsCreate or analyze business requirements documents and
project timelines as neededContinuous improvement of Sprint release
processes to maximize team performanceMake decisions and
communicate trade-offs and risksMake recommendations to management
about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input
from team membersAbility to perform detail-oriented business and
technical analysis to discover, refine, and document the
requirements for technically oriented projectsCoordinate releases
and product launch processes with Product Management, Security and
other teams Basic Qualifications:This is a hybrid (on-prem /
remote) position, but will require regular travel to our Sterling
and Fairfax, Virginia officesCertified Scrum Master (CSM) or
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) with demonstrable expertise of
Scrum and Kanban8+ years of relevant experience in software
developmentAt least 4 years of experience as a Scrum
MasterExperience working with remote teamsExperience as a Technical
Project Manager and/or background in Software DevelopmentExperience
in Banking or Payment systemsManage Scrum ceremonies (daily,
retrospective, planning, review, grooming, sprint demos)Excellent
documentation, communication, facilitation and coaching
skillsProficient in Agile development methodologies, understanding
of DevOps IntegrationKnowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts
(such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing,
backlog refinement)Prior experience on using Java and related
technologies for building microservices applicationsExperience with
cloud technologies is preferredMust have excellent communication
(verbal & written), interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving
skillsExperience with metrics-oriented reportingSupport and train
multiple Scrum teams through all Agile Scrum events and practices
to empower teams in their delivery and execution of business
valueAbility to resolve conflict through arbitration, negotiation,
reasoned discussion, or escalationConduct a collaborative and
supportive team culture through engagement and team building
practicesPreferred Qualifications:Possess strong interpersonal
communication skills and confidence to collaborate effectively with
a cross-functional multi-team environmentHave experience leading
others with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the
team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone in an Agile
environmentAre highly proficient in Jira and ConfluenceAbility to
initiate, plan, execute, and guide the work of a team to achieve
specific goals and meet specific success criteria within a
specified timeExperience in developing full-scale project plans and
associated communication documents, including identifying and
managing project dependencies and critical pathBrings a high-energy
and passionate outlook and can influence those around themHave a
