Director for CRM will drive the customer lifecycle vision across
the company and be responsible for strategic decision making and
the successful management of CRM programs across Yahoo brands. In
this role, you will be focused on increasing customer lifetime
value by identifying, developing, and prioritizing strategies to be
executed by the CRM team. With a strong focus on email, push and
marketing automation, the Marketing Director will orchestrate
cross-channel programs which reach users across multiple devices to
drive acquisition, winback, retention and engagement initiatives.
This is a high-visibility position entailing a high degree of
responsibility and accountability. As the head of the CRM team, you
must bring a proven track record of leading and coaching a high
performance team, consisting of CRM strategy and operations
specialists, as well as repeated success driving strategic impact
through a wide range of lifecycle marketing. The Marketing Director
will work very closely with the Product Marketing, Creative,
Marketing Analytics and Marketing Technology teams to develop and
ensure delivery of smart programs that align with our programmatic,
audience-led strategy for CRM.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership on best practices to create and
drive the strategy for programmatic user-led CRM programs across
email (batch, triggers, newsletters), push, and SMS.
- Manage a team of 10+ CRM strategists and operations managers to
execute CRM programs with excellence
- Develop engagement and customer communication strategies that
continuously articulate and reinforce the product's value and
purpose to foster retention and increase customer lifetime
value
- Leverage research, insights and campaign results to make
data-driven decisions
- Manage the operationalization of new features such as
personalization, dynamic content, targeting and triggers
- Define objectives and success criteria for assigned CRM
programs and be able to measure results to assess effectiveness of
driving search queries
- Partner with Marketing Technology teams and manage external
vendor relationships to drive the development of the longer CRM and
marketing automation roadmap
- Be an expert in CRM and marketing automation industry insights
and trends to drive more informed decisions and ignite new
strategies and ideas.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews to marketing
product teams Skills & Experience
- 10+ years experience in the email/CRM/Marketing Automation
industry
- Experience with consumer/audience based email and development
of Lifecycle Marketing programs
- Working knowledge of and experience with third party email
service providers and marketing automation platforms. Direct
experience with Epsilon is a plus.
- Analytical expertise for data-driven decision-making
- Comfortable driving a strategic agenda, and measuring success
against clearly defined outcomes
- Understand user-research and testing methodologies, and web
analytics tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively with other disciplines including
Product Marketing, Analytics and Technology Teams
- Must possess superior organization, prioritization, and time
management skills
- Creative, positive energy, self-directed, amiable attitude, and
composed under pressure
- BA/BS degree required. Masters preferred. Yahoo is proud to be
