Our client, a leading medical device company, is currently recruiting a Senior Director of Product Engineering who will infuse the Product Engineering Team with their talent, energy and leadership skills. Responsibilities include: 1) Lead, develop and motivate Engineering Team and oversee for the enhancement and development of company's products while using advanced standards, methodologies and tools 2) Collaborate with internal and external customers and manufacturing engineering staff to balance the team workload 3) Identify and advance new product concepts through the product development process to ensure completeness of documentation and testing 4) Select correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products and improvement for existing ones 5) Define and specify the implementation of reliability standards, methods and procedures to achieve next-generation product high-volume, high-reliability device strategic goals 6) Apply systems and processes that improve product safety 7) Ensure awareness and compliance of all personnel to all applicable regulations and standards through creation, approval and training to SOPs 8) Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the quality policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures 9) Recognize and identify challenges that pose a threat to the completion of programs and formulate plans for course correction 10) Communicate with all departments regarding the project status, as needed 11) Ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget 12) Manage and administer design controls relating to sustaining current products, new product designs and materials and product improvements 13) Interact with other departments within the company and the contract manufacturers and suppliers on a regular basis to ensure that new products, processes and plans are incorporated into departmental activities, as required 14) Provide leadership and guidance for product and process software validation activities 15) Develop and implement plans for product and prototype transition to manufacturing 16) Develop budgetary evaluations on manufacturing costs to be used in project and product feasibility 17) Support QA and RA for investigations and create samples for registrations and evaluations 18) Oversee implementation of all changes to products and processes to ensure risk mitigation, validation and regulatory compliance
