Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe CCR Technician will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.-- Will apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for the particular area of specialization. Will demonstrate knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues.-- The successful candidate will typically possess--3 -5 years of successful experience in communications or a related field and successfully demonstrate key responsibilities and knowledge; Provide operations and maintenance support to multiple tactical and land mobile radio systems-- including but not limited to the PRC-152, PRC-152A, PRC-117F, PRC-117G, DTCS-RO, XG-100M, XG-100P, XTS-5000,APX-3000, TK-5210/5310, TK-5710/5810, PYQ-10, KIK-30, KIK-20, and the KIK-13.Subject Matter Expert on networking and other communications equipment providers (i.e. Harris, Exelis, Kenwood) equipment and will provide O&Msupport. Proficient in communications surveys, new installations and preventative maintenance for vehicle and fixed site systems, COMSEC management, frequency management, training, and depot level repair for radios. Develops andconducts training for U.S. Government personnel and private contractors regarding the proper use, care, maintenance and preventative maintenance of assigned systems.Qualifications Must havea current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. A TOP SECRETPersonnel Security Clearance may be required to meet changing requirements.High school diploma plus five (5) years professional work experience in amilitary or government environment is required. Minimum ofthree (3) years technical and related experience in the field of coordinationand technical support for modern communication systems. A minimum of two yearshands-on work experience with PRC-117F/G and PRC-152/A. Experience with COMSECpolicies and procedures. Possess knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory andprinciple, and the effects of systems in an electronic countermeasuresenvironment. Excellent technical knowledge of RF Communications (VHF/UHF/SATCOM/Radio).Must be able to specify RF communication equipment compatible with CREWsystems.Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectivelyunder minimal supervision.-- Must demonstrate the ability to interactwith all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactfulmanner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of acohesive team.-- Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fastpaced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention todetail.-- Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
