Job Description:
Description Electrical Engineer - Electronics Liquid Robotics is
seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in the development
of autonomous ocean robots and the associated hardware and
accessories. As part of our small but highly-motivated team, you
will participate in electrical engineering design activities that
contribute to world-changing products. The successful candidate
will bring Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design capability,
an ability to work on cross-functional teams, and strong
communication skills. This engineer reports directly to our
Electrical Engineering Manager and is based in the Potomac Region.
Essential Responsibilities Define, design, document, test, and
production release PCBA level solutions, incorporating both analog
and digital technologies. This includes: Schematic Entry Component
selection Documentation release Work with Software and Firmware
engineers to define requirements and interfaces. Define, design,
document, test, and production release cabling harness designs Work
with Layout house to detail board routing Work with in-house
Manufacturing Engineering and Contract Manufacturer(s) to
successfully build and test electric designs Debug operational
electrical issues Support debug and test of embedded firmware
Develop in-depth understanding of the operation of the overall
product Prepare and release production documentation Key
Attributes: Experience with standard electronics lab test equipment
Strong expertise in Altium and related tools Experience developing,
debugging, and testing embedded firmware Ability to think
analytically, strong debug capabilities Strong technical skills and
the ability to learn new information quickly. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications: BSEE or
equivalent. 2 years of direct experience designing PCBA’s (relevant
internships included) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills. Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
required. U.S. Person status required. Ability to obtain a US
Secret Clearance required. Preference given to candidates with
active security clearance at time of hire. Pay is based upon
candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and
business considerations. Summary pay range: $82,000 - $145,000
