Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are pioneering the future of
cloud computing with cutting-edge data centers around the world. We
are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Product Engineer to join our Data
Center Engineering, Mission Critical Physical Systems (MPS) team.
This role involves the design, analysis, and execution of
innovative mechanical systems to support the scalability and
efficiency of AWS data centers. The ideal candidate will lead
complex engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional
teams to ensure robust, efficient, and sustainable mechanical
designs that align with AWS's operational goals and growth. Design
and lead the engineering of mechanical systems, including HVAC,
cooling, and specialty containment systems for data center
environments. Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers,
and project managers to integrate mechanical systems flawlessly.
Lead sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and
reduce environmental impact across global data center operations.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical components
and systems to ensure reliability and compliance with industry
standards. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior
engineers and project team members. Advanced knowledge of HVAC,
electrical systems, and thermodynamics applicable to data center
environments. Experience in using CAD and Revit software for
mechanical design. Strong project management skills with ability to
handle multiple projects. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting,
and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and leadership
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
LEED AP or similar sustainability-focused certification is
advantageous.
