Job Description:

AVENU--- is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support the Avenu Platform (a Bank as a Service platform). We need a dynamic Cloud Engineer to partner with our platform development, technical support, and cyber security teams to manage internal platform sub-systems, infrastructure, and triage and fix production issues.
Role:
The Cloud Engineer will work on Tier 2 production issues that directly impact our Fintech clients and their customers. You will work closely with your Platform development and Quality Assurance team members in resolving issues.
Responsibilities:
Documentation

• 
  
• System maintenance technical documentation
  
• Environment documentation - standard operating procedures
  
• Discovery of new network components and resources
  
• Documentation of configuration management database
  
  Status Updates & Reporting
  
  • 
    
  • Security and compliance reporting
    
  • Periodic status of SLAs and KPIs
    
    Root Cause Analysis and Fixes (RCA)
    
    • 
      
    • Analysis and identification of repeat incident patterns for permanent fixes
      
    • Updating automation scripts based on RCA
      
      Application Support
      
      • 
        
      • Support, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
        
      • Production deployments Configuration Management
        
      • Availability and performance management
        
      • Upgrades and patching
        
        Monitoring and Alerting
        
        • 
          
        • Analysis and definition of alert thresholds and logging
          
        • Incident prevention
          
        • Periodic maintenance activities
          
          Requirements:
          
          • 
            
          • This can be a hybrid / remote position, but may require travel to our Sterling and Fairfax, Virginia offices
            
          • 3+ years of Cloud Application Support experience
            
          • 2+ years of working with payment systems
            
          • Experience supporting Cloud/SaaS software products and APIs is highly coveted
            
          • XaaS technologies, platforms, and applications
            
          • Developing software using languages such as Java, Python, Go or other modern languages
            
          • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC
            
          • An ability to analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
            
          • An ability to design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
            
          • Experience with debugging existing software and correcting defects
            
          • Knowledge of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.
            
          • Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL
            
          • Familiarity with working in an Agile software development environment
            
          • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
            
          • Dedicated to champion customer problem until resolution
