Engineer to join our team developing next generation signals
intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the

Hardware Engineer you will provide hardware engineering expertise
to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture,
network design and other technical hardware issues. Procure and
perform acceptance testing on equipment. Provide hardware
maintenance support, both preventative and remedial. Design and
develop RF circuitry used in high frequency applications, including
receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.
Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype
construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications;
analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance
characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal
documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable
assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem
Architectures consisting of antennas, transmitters, receivers, low
noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and
transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and
optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible
interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and
subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and
tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs You will design
hardware solutions using industry standard design and simulation
tools and automated testing frameworks using the latest test
equipment. Your experience with PCB design tools (Altium, Mentor
Expedition), RF, circuit and system simulation tools (Advanced
Design Suite, Microwave Office, Spice, MATLAB) is a plus.More About
the RoleCACI seeks a talented Hardware Engineer to join our
Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and
Innovative Solutions Sector. Someone with a desire to designs and
test new integrated circuits and hardware components for a wide
variety of signal processing applications and research. Design,
document and develop code (to include firmware) for digital signal
processors or other programmable hardware devices such as
Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field
Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Test and troubleshoot existing hardware. - Develop test code
necessary to automate testing and calibrating tasks in the
specified time according to standards and guidelines.
- Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to
assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost
efficient, able to be manufactured, and reliable
- Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem
requirements to conceive and document a practical design for
hardware components to include servers, network devices,
transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and
special processors
- Adjust or recommend enhancements in systems and new hardware as
well as modify existing hardware to add features and
functionality
- Knowledgeable of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes,
signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
- Working with Hardware Engineering Team to complete Hardware
Development, Simulation and Verification for digital signal
processing and general processing projects
- Supporting Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Project
Manager, and Program Office staff to meet all customer objectives
and program milestones
- Prepares engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages.
Organize and direct hardware installations.
- Maintaining operating system baselines utilizing configuration
management tools and ensuring compliance with corporate and
government security standards
- Employ design, development, and testing best practices
- Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems
- Provide specific input to the hardware components of system
design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices,
data storage devices, and specialized processors.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to determine advantages and
disadvantages of potential solutionsYou'll Bring These
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a
polygraph
- Bachelors or in engineering or related field, Degree can be
substituted with 5 additional years of relevant experience A
minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Hardware Engineer for
SIGINT Solutions
- Applied knowledge of either the Altera or Xilinx FPGA devices
and their associated application environments
- Use and Design configurations of RF test equipment such as PNAs
and Spectrum analyzers
- Solid understanding of RF/circuit design concepts, patterns,
tools and best practices
- Strong analytical Skills (ability to analyze and work through
complicated issues).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with PCB design and RF, circuit and system
simulation tools
- Ability to lead an engineering team in the areas of technical
execution to include cost, and scheduleThese Qualifications Would
Be Nice to Have
- Experience with writing test automation code (Python, C++)
- Working knowledge of signal processing fundamentals
- Working knowledge of MATLAB is helpful
- Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given

is $79,000-$161,900. There are a host of factors that can influence
