Job Description Job Description Assistant Director – Early Childhood Education (Entry-Level) Location: Harrisburg, PA Schedule: Full-Time Pay Range: $17/hr to $20/hr About the Role: We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Entry-Level Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our early childhood education program. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while gaining hands-on experience in childcare administration and program management. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to help ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children ranging from infants to 13 years old. This position is designed for a dependable professional who brings positive energy, strong organization, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. Key Responsibilities: -Assist with day-to-day operations of the childcare program -Support curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and age-appropriate activities -Help ensure the facility remains clean, safe, organized, and compliant with state regulations -Assist with supervising staff, providing guidance, encouragement, and positive leadership -Conduct routine safety and facility checks -Communicate professionally with families, staff, and leadership -Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, and required reports -Step in to support classrooms and operations as needed -Uphold program standards with consistency, structure, and professionalism Who We’re Looking For: We are seeking someone who is committed to building a career in early childhood education, not just filling a position.
