Our team specializes in brick, block, stone, and historic masonry restoration on commercial buildings, universities, government facilities, and institutional properties. We are currently hiring Construction Laborers to join our growing team. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and interested in learning a skilled trade. Construction or masonry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who shows initiative, takes direction well, and wants to build a career in the construction industry. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, being outdoors, and being part of a crew that takes pride in quality craftsmanship. Applicants who include a brief description of their construction or hands-on work experience in their application will be prioritized. Position Overview As a Construction Laborer, you will support skilled masons and foremen with the preparation of materials, job site setup, and general construction tasks. Laborers play an important role in keeping projects running safely and efficiently while learning valuable masonry skills along the way. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities - Assist masons with brick, block, and stone construction and restoration work - Prepare and mix mortar and other construction materials - Transport materials, tools, and equipment around job sites - Assist with scaffold setup and breakdown when required - Perform demolition and surface preparation work as needed - Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas - Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors - Work safely and follow OSHA and company safety standards - Work efficiently with the crew to help keep projects on schedule Qualifications - Construction or masonry experience preferred but not required - Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade - Have tools and proper PPE - Reliable transportation to job sites throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia - Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and perform physical labor - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions - Punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a team - Ability to follow instructions and maintain job site safety - Work authorization in the United States - OSHA-10 certification preferred but not required What We Offer - Competitive hourly pay based on experience - Steady full-time work with a stable company - Health Insurance and 401k - Opportunity to learn masonry and grow within the company - Advancement opportunities for reliable and motivated employees - Work on interesting projects including historic buildings and institutional facilities - Supportive crew environment that values quality work Company Description construction company with extensive experience restoring, repairing, building, and preserving historic and contemporary structures throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
