Critical Facilities COLO Provider - Ashburn, VA This opportunity is
working directly with a leading mission-critical data center
developer / wholesaler / Colo provider. This company provides
turnkey data center solutions custom-fit to the requirements of
their client's ever-changing mission-critical facility's
operational needs. They accomplish this by providing reliability of
mission-critical facilities for many of the world's largest
organizations (Hyperscale and Enterprise Customers). This

Critical Facilities Construction to lead data center colo
construction and development projects in NoVA / Mid-Atlantic
Region. The director will own all aspects of project delivery /
execution, project conception through completion while driving
best-in-industry standards ensuring projects align with company
standards and objectives - including budget management / costs,
meeting scope and quality expectations, scheduling, and safety.
This role requires providing strategic leadership and vision to
contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout the project
lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be highly organized,
detail-oriented, and capable of managing both the strategic and
administrative aspects of development and construction The ideal
candidate preferably has come up the ranks from General
Contracting, Engineering Design, Architecture, Owners Rep, etc. The
Director will be the primary interface between Company and its
construction partners. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive
in a flat organization that relies on heavily on vendor support
from their construction partners. Responsibilities: Lead and
develop all phases of data center development projects in the
Virginia / Carolinas region, from pre-construction, permitting,
bidding, and team selection through construction, commissioning,
integration, turnover, and project closeout Manage contractual
reviews, procurement, construction oversight over all phases, and
contractor management - subs contractors, consultants - ensuring
contract alignment, accountability while driving consistent / best
in class delivery of world-class data center infrastructure
Experience managing Data Center Construction Capital Projects with
Budgets $200MM and customer build procurement activities, including
RFP development, evaluation, and award Communicate confidently with
customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders while fostering a
culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and teamwork
through professional, partnership-oriented communication and
leadership Develop / Delegate the issuance of RFPs for project
bids, evaluate bidder qualifications, and negotiate contracts Serve
as the primary point of accountability with internal / external
stakeholders, senior leadership, and vendors for scope, quality,
schedule, ensuring adherence to financial targets and keeping to
the budget, tracking costs, forecasts, and addressing critical path
conflicts as needed and to meet key milestones Ensure project teams
remain aligned with turnover and documentation requirements,
supporting smooth transition to operations Coordinate closely with
Facilities Operations including Operations, to prioritize inputs,
align on timelines, manage work requiring MOPs, and ensure all
required approvals are obtained Ensure compliance with local,
state, and federal regulations, including permits and safety
requirements Participate in due diligence processes for potential
developments and acquisitions Belong and attend professional
organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, Datacenter
Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow, etc. Possess an extensive
network within the mission critical data center facilities
construction market Background in Critical Facilities Design,
Architecture, Engineering and Construction Services Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus
on complex greenfield data center delivery or critical facilities
projects as a general contractor / GC, Engineering Firm, Developer,
or End User, including direct accountability for project financial
performance, manage budgets and schedule execution from project
inception to completion Experience with driving successful
execution of the bid process, RFPs, RFIs, drafting agreements,
reviewing contracts, etc BS in Construction Management ,
Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent
professional experience Experience with technical design,
development, and construction principles specific across ground-up
civil, structural, architectural / CSA, and MEP systems, with
experience spanning greenfield, brownfield and retrofit data center
/ critical facilities projects Demonstrated strength in strategic
planning and project execution Exceptional people leadership and
project management skills, capable of operating effectively in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and
collaboration Proven leadership, with hands-on experience in safety
processes, commissioning processes, MOPs, QA/QC standards, and
best-practice construction execution Proficiency with modern
project controls, scheduling methodologies, virtual design and
construction (VDC), and a wide range of construction - Accubid,
McCormick, Bluebeam, etc and PC-based software tools, including MS
Office, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, etc Team-oriented
mindset with a demonstrated willingness to go beyond core
responsibilities to achieve results Proven track record of
partnering cross-functionally with internal and external
stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze challenges,
implement solutions, and deliver successful outcomes Active
industry engagement with organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7x24
Exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow,
etc. Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage
multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong written,
verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to
present complex information clearly and compellingly to varied
audiences Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to
prioritize, manage multiple concurrent projects, and maintain sound
judgment, discretion, and confidentiality while working
strategically with data Previous experience in the Military /
Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical /
Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power
Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs,
Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc. Willingness to
travel approximately 20%, varying based on project volume and
