Job Description:
Description About Us: At RELI Group, our work is grounded in
purpose. We partner with government agencies to solve complex
challenges, improve public health, strengthen national security,
and make government services more effective and efficient. Our team
of over 500 professionals brings deep expertise and a shared
commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes. Behind every solution
is a group of experts who care deeply about impact—whether we’re
supporting data-driven decisions, modernizing systems or
safeguarding critical programs. Position Summary: We are seeking a
highly analytical Project Financial Analyst to serve as a key
financial partner to program and project managers within a
Government Contracting (GovCon) environment. This role is heavily
focused on program financial support, requiring the ability to
interpret data, answer complex financial questions, and deliver
insights that directly drive business decisions and program
performance. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary financial
partner to program and project managers, providing timely,
accurate, and actionable insights into revenue, cost, margin, labor
utilization, and overall program profitability. Monitor and analyze
project financial performance to assess project health, identify
risks, issues, and opportunities, and proactively recommend
corrective actions when variances arise. Lead project- and
program-level budgeting, forecasting, and Estimate at Completion
(EAC) processes in collaboration with project managers, ensuring
assumptions are well-supported and aligned with operational plans.
Support management decision-making through scenario and what-if
analysis, evaluating the financial impact of changes in project
assumptions, resource allocations, and business conditions. Perform
detailed variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identify
key drivers, and clearly communicate financial impacts to
stakeholders. Validate month-end project cost accruals to ensure
accurate expense recognition, revenue reporting, and compliance
with accounting and contract requirements. Develop and maintain
financial models to support program performance analysis,
forecasting, pricing, and ad hoc requests. Produce clear,
decision-oriented reports and dashboards that enable leadership to
understand program performance, trends, and risks, leveraging
analytics and financial planning tools. Support pricing and
financial planning activities by applying knowledge of direct and
indirect cost structures, including indirect rate methodologies.
Analyze financial implications across multiple government contract
types (cost-plus, fixed-price, T&M) and leverage ERP and
reporting systems to extract, validate, and analyze financial data.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a
related field. 4 years of FP&A, program finance, or project
finance experience, preferably in a government contracting (GovCon)
environment. Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, EACs,
variance analysis, and financial modeling at the project or program
level. Knowledge of government contract types and cost structures,
including direct and indirect costs and indirect rate calculations.
Pricing experience preferred, including proposal support, cost
buildup, or estimating activities. Proficiency with ERP, analytics,
and financial planning tools, including Deltek Costpoint, Power BI,
Vena (or similar), and advanced Excel. Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to
explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a
fast-paced, data-driven environment. EEO Employer: RELI Group is an
