Job Description Job Description Title: Staff Accountant Location: Fairfax, VA (hybrid flexibility once trained) Assignment Type: Temp-to-permanent role Compensation: $27-28/hr - conversion salary of $50-60K Work Schedule: M-F, 9-5 Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, and 401(k) Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and sub-ledgers Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures Provide accounting support for special projects or ad-hoc analysis Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or private) Strong knowledge of GAAP Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
